CREDENTIALS
All media looking to obtain a single-game media credential must complete the online form 48
hours prior to each matchday. Click here to access the form. Confirmation from the Timbers staff will be
sent to those who are approved.
The club will credential a limited number of non-rights media personnel, subject to the availability of
media positions in the press seating areas, photographer, videographer and TV crew areas, as well as
the photo work room.
Applications from freelance writers, photographers or videographers must come from a direct supervisor
validating professional and editorial need for media access.
Media members may not use credentials for preferential access, such as autographs, photographs or
personal requests. Violations will result in potential loss of credential for any future match.
MEDIA ENTRANCE
All media personnel must enter the stadium through Gate G on matchday. (SW 20th Ave., along the west
side of Providence Park). Gate G will open two hours prior to kickoff on matchday.
PRESS BOX
The press box is located above the seating bowl along the west side of the stadium. To get to the press
box from the media entrance, enter the seating bowl from the concourse and take the stairs up through
section 222 until you reach the gated walkway. The walkway leads directly to the press box. For media
members needing elevator access, please use the suite elevator located on the northwest corner of the
concourse.
Media will have assigned seats in the press box.
Media members will have access to a meal in the press box approximately two hours prior to the match.
Water will be provided in the photo work room. No food or beverages are allowed on the field, with the
exception of water. All working media must eat their meals up in the press box area.
To ensure paperless media areas, all media resources will be shared in the team Slack channel. To be
added to the club Slack channel, please email club PR staff.
PHOTOGRAPHERS, VIDEOGRAPHERS & TV CREWS
Please check in with the team photo marshal no later than 30 minutes prior to the match in the photo
work room, regarding available photographer positions and review any updates to the media policies.
The photo work room is located under section 99 of the east grandstand. Please use the stairwell by the
Modelo Deck to access the photo workroom.
Photographers and videographers shooting from field level must checkout a bib from the photo workroom
and return it to the same place at the conclusion of the match.
Media should utilize the stairwell in section 115 or the stairwell adjacent to the Modelo Deck to enter and
exit the field.
In-Game Video/Photo Guidelines
Approved photographers, videographers and TV crews will be permitted to shoot the match from
assigned positions. Media members may not shoot in the stands or on the concourse without prior
approval from the PR team.
Media members are encouraged to stay on one endline during match play. Due to field seating, the east
sideline is strictly off limits. Media are allowed to use the east sideline to pass from one end of the field to
the other. The concrete area in the northeast corner near the photo work room is available for media to
access when space is available during the run of play.
Media members will only be allowed to cross the west sideline behind the benches during warm-ups,
halftime or postgame when permitted by the PR team. The west sideline is off limits during the match for
any non-club personnel.
Due to limited space at Providence Park, photographers and videographers may only shoot from behind
the field boards. Media should not utilize camera well platforms in the seating bowl to shoot the match
without advanced approval from the communications staff. In addition, media are not permitted to shoot
photos or video from the press box.
Photographers, with the exception of club content staff and MLS Rights Holders, are not allowed on the
pitch at any time, including warmups.
No equipment of any kind is allowed on the log stand or any of the supporters’ capo stands without
advanced approval.
At no point should photographers, videographers or TV crews enter the playing field, locker rooms, or
other restricted areas proximate to players, coaches or club delegation members.
POST-GAME PRESS CONFERENCES
The home team post-game press conference will be conducted in the Media Conference Room (MCR)
approximately 15 minutes after the final whistle.
The MCR is located on the inside concourse on field level, near the northwest corner of the field. Media
coming from the pressbox are advised to take the suite elevator to field level to access the MCR.
Should you have a specific player request for postgame, please alert a member of the Timbers PR staff.
